in the presence of the parties who shall be afforded an opportunity to put any question to
the witness; or
(d) annual the proceedings of the courtmartial on the ground that they are illegal or unjust; or
(e) order retrial of the accused by a fresh courtmartial; or
(f) remit the whole or any part of the punishment or mitigate the punishment or commute the
punishment for any less punishment or punishments mentioned in this Act.
(3) The decision of the court of Appeals shall be final and shall not be called in question before
any court or other authority.]

CHAPTER XIII
EXECUTION OF SENTENCES
1[163. Form of sentence of stoning to death and death. ___(1) In awarding a sentence of stoning
of death, a court‑martial shall direct that the sentence shall be executed in the manner provided for in
the Offence of Zina (Enforcement of Hudood) Ordinance, 1979 (VII of 1979).
(2) In awarding a sentence of death, a courtmartial shall, in its discretion, direct that the offender
shall suffer death by being hanged by the neck until he be dead, or shall suffer death by being shot to
death.
163A. Form of sentence amputation of hand, foot or both. In awarding a sentence of
amputation of hand, foot or both, a courtmartial shall direct that the sentence shall be executed in
the manner provided for in the Offences Against Property (Enforcement of Hudood) Ordinance, 1979
(V of 1979).
163B. Form of sentence of whipping. In awarding a sentence of whipping a courtmartial shall
direct that the sentence shall be executed in the manner provided for in the Execution of the
Punishment of Whipping Ordinance, 1979 (IX of 1979).
