188.  Effect  of  suspension  and  remission  on  dismissal.___(1)  Where  in  addition  to  any  other sentence the punishment of dismissal has been awarded by a Court­martial, and such other sentence is  suspended  under  section  180,  then,  such  dismissal  shall  not  take  effect  until  so  ordered  by  the authority or officer specified in section 180. (2) If such other sentence is remitted under section 184, the punishment of dismissal shall also be remitted. _____ CHAPTER XV PROPERTY OF DECEASED PERSONS, DESERTERS AND LUNATICS. 189. Property of deceased persons and deserters (other than officers and warrant officers). The following provisions are enacted respecting the disposal of the property of every person subject to this Act, other than an officer or warrant officer, who dies or deserts :___ (1) The commanding officer of the unit 1[or station] to which the deceased person or deserter belonged  1[or  was  attached]  shall  secure  all  the  movable  property  belonging  to  the deceased  or  deserter  that  is  in  camp  or  quarters,  and  cause  an  inventory  thereof  to  be made, and draw any pay and allowances due to such person.
