69. Abetment of offences punishable with death and not committed. Any person subject to this
Act who abets the commission of any of the offences punishable with death under sections 34 to 37
shall, on conviction by courtmartial, if that offence be not committed in consequence of the
abetment and no express provision is made by this Act for the punishment of such abetment, be liable
to suffer long imprisonment.
70. Abetment of offences punishable with imprisonment and not committed. Any person
subject to this Act who abets the commission of any of the offences specified in sections 34 to 66
inclusive, and punishable with imprisonment shall, on conviction by court‑martial, if that offence be
not committed in consequence of the abetment, and no express provision is made by this Act for the
punishment of such abetment, be liable to suffer imprison ment for a term which may extend to
one‑half of the longest term provided for that offence.
71. Civil offences.___(1) Subject to the provisions of section 72, any person subject to this Act
who at any place in or beyond Pakistan commits any civil offence shall be deemed to be guilty of an
offence against this Act and, if charged therewith under this section shall be liable to be 1[dealt with
under this Act] and, on conviction, be punishable as follows, that is to say :___
(a) if the offence is one which would be punishable under any law in force in Pakistan with
death or with 2[imprisonment for life], he shall be liable to suffer any punishment,
