CHAPTER V.___OFFENCES
24. Offences in relation to enemy and punishable with death. Any person subject to this Act
who commits any of the following offences, that is to say,___
(a) shamefully abandons or delivers up any garrison, fortress, air field, place, post or guard
committed to his charge or which it is his duty to defend, or uses any means to compel or
induce any commanding officer or other person to do any of the said acts ; or
(b) in the presence of any enemy, shamefully casts away his arms, ammunition, tools or
equipment, or misbehaves in such manner as to show cowardice ; or
(c) intentionally uses words or any other means to compel or induce any person subject to this
Act, 1* * * 2[or to the Pakistan Air Force Act, 1953 (VI of 1953),] or to
the 3[Pakistan Navy Ordinance, 1961 (XXXV of 1961)], to abstain from acting against
the enemy or to discourage such person from acting against the enemy ; or
(d) directly or indirectly, treacherously holds correspondence with, or communicates
intelligence to, the enemy or who coming to the know ledge of such correspondence or
communication treacherously omits to discover it to his commanding or other superior
officer ; or
(e) directly or indirectly assists or relieves the enemy with arms, ammunition, equipment,
supplies or money, or knowingly harbours or protects an enemy not being a prisoner ; or
